Information Broker
A city in development requires an an overview. A government organization is working on many projects and plans simultaneously, and good information is indispensable. As an information broker, you ensure that the right information is available at the right time. You bring together information from different disciplines and departments, establish connections, and clarify what is happening. Within the physical domain, a Central Planning Team is used.
From Urban Development, Urban Realization, and Urban Management, they collectively look at the planning, capacity, and progress of work for the city. You ensure that this team can work with current and reliable information. This way, we help each other make better choices, smartly deploy available capacity, and align projects and plans effectively.
What you will do. As an information broker, you are the connecting link between colleagues, projects, and various information flows. You will work closely with the senior business operations advisor, planning economists, project controllers, project developers, and planners from other departments. You are curious, persistent, and know how to pleasantly obtain the right information. You ensure that:
- Information from various departments and disciplines is available on time and properly recorded;
- Colleagues know what information is needed and when. You monitor progress and address colleagues where necessary;
- The system for project and portfolio management is used effectively to record initiatives and projects. You help set up reports so that colleagues quickly find the information they need;
- You are a strong sparring partner for colleagues within and outside your professional group and actively participate in the Central Planning Team;
- Based on your knowledge of projects, you manage the map-tables and collaborate with planners from, among others, Urban Management.
Your main areas of focus.
- You keep the program planning up-to-date and monitor the progress of projects and activities within the Urban Development department, including project overviews, plan exploitations, and housing construction figures;
- You maintain the capacity planning and bring together forecasts, internal assignments, and settlements. This allows us to keep track of what needs to be done and what capacity is required;
- You coordinate information for the P&C cycle. You collect information, bring together various information flows, and maintain an overview and direction;
- You actively contribute to the annual revision of plan exploitations (MPG) and are part of the core MPG team;
- You connect the Housing and BRIKS offices regarding the construction flow and housing construction figures. You keep this information up-to-date and ensure it is available on time for, for example, subsidy accountability;
- You keep an eye on outstanding motions and commitments and the long-term planning of the municipal council. If you detect a delay, you raise the alarm in time.

We are looking for someone who easily connects and enjoys bringing together information from different sources. You are proactive and know how to motivate people in a pleasant and clear way. You maintain an overview, see connections, and do not let go until the necessary information is available. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating and know when to coordinate or take the lead yourself.
