You work towards the safe return of young people to society within a juvenile justice institution.
- You guide a group of 8 to 10 young people in their daily routine and implement treatment plans.
- You mentor 1 or 2 young people, meet them weekly, and maintain contact with their network.
- You report daily on the group and track the progress of mentored youth in periodic reports, providing input for treatment plans.
- You work with 2 colleagues per shift on the group and provide daily guidance, including lessons, relaxation, and games.
- After an onboarding period of approximately 4 weeks, you will participate in a basic Youth training.
What you do
- Convince young people to adhere to agreements and participate in group activities.
- Quickly sense what is happening in the group and motivate young people.
- Adjust quickly with an appropriate approach in case of unexpected events.
- Work accurately, make proactive and independent decisions.
- Critically reflect on your own actions.
What they ask
- An HBO diploma in social work, pedagogy, or one of the predecessors (SPH, MWD), or an EVC certificate for the qualified HBO youth and family professional.
- An SKJ registration. If not present, there are options to obtain it or start as a group leader.
- Good physical condition.
- The ability to work irregular shifts.
Preferences.
- Relevant experience, gained through an internship or volunteer work.
Practical aspects.
- Participation in a basic youth training of 16 consecutive working days, scheduled after employment and after approximately 4 weeks of onboarding.
