An educational assistant in special education supports both the learning process and the socio-emotional development of students. You provide structure, tailored guidance, and work closely with the teacher and other involved professionals. The support is aimed at students in group 7.
What you do
- You guide individual students or small groups in learning activities and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- You support the teacher in the preparation and execution of lessons and educational activities.
- You help students follow the daily routine, adhere to agreements, and develop desired behavior.
- You stimulate students' independence, self-reliance, and social skills.
- You observe the development and well-being of students and share your findings with the teacher and the team.
- You actively contribute to a positive pedagogical climate where students gain successful experiences and can develop optimally.
