Teacher Coach

LimburgHybrid24 hours/week<3months

An educational institution offers local (secondary) special education to children and young people with complex support needs. Students stay temporarily under the motto 'as short as possible, as long as necessary'. Students also stay based on an admissibility statement. This creates a dynamic work environment. Through an integrated approach, students can gradually integrate into education. The institution builds on everyone's talents and possibilities and is continuously focused on the next step in development.

A safe climate based on trust is created, where everyone can be themselves. This contributes to the development of autonomy for students and employees. They learn to take responsibility for themselves, for each other, and for society. Children and young people learn to live as independently as possible and work towards a suitable place in society. With autonomous employees and self-organizing teams, the organization develops as an agile organization, able to respond well to the rapidly changing environment.

What you will do. As a teacher coach, you will operate in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will work in an education-care trajectory for young people aged 12-23 who are experiencing educational dropout. During the trajectory, you will quickly create a new future perspective for the young person. You will do this in close consultation with care colleagues and other network partners. Within the project location, building relationships and connecting with each other are central.

We work with young people who, for various reasons, cannot (temporarily) participate in regular or special education. In a trajectory of approximately one year, the disciplines of education and care work together with the young person on personal goals. Guidance is present almost all day in the classroom, allowing for efficient collaboration. Frequent consultations take place between the disciplines, in which goals are evaluated and adjusted if necessary.

In addition to the didactic aspect of education, great importance is attached to creating a safe pedagogical climate by applying a phase model.
