Work Supervisor

• Guide and motivate a group of up to 24 detainees during their work activities in a workshop or workroom.
• Ensure that work is performed correctly and that all products are completed on time for the client's order.
• Encourage detainees to perform their work well and help them stay motivated.
• Conduct firm discussions and set clear boundaries.
• Lead and ensure that rules are followed, while supporting detainees in their development.
• Prepare the workroom and distribute tasks.
• Provide explanations, answer questions, and assist when necessary.
• Supervise safety at entrances and exits of workplaces, including tool checks.
• Intervene in case of disturbances or misconduct.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering goods, sending invoices, and tracking worked hours.
• Conduct progress interviews with detainees about their development.
• Maintain contact with clients to ensure that products and assignments meet agreed standards.

What they ask

• Demonstrable MBO 4 (vocational education level 4) work and thinking level.
• Some experience working in production, maintenance, logistics, metal, bread/pastry, woodworking, textile, or building maintenance.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and preferably also in English.
• Good physical and mental condition.
• Ability to set boundaries and conduct firm conversations.
• Ability to relativize and empathy, while maintaining professional distance.

• You will be trained by an experienced colleague.
• You will follow a generic training and two job-specific training courses, totaling 8 weeks.
