Designing and developing hydraulic systems and maritime applications: this is the core of this role. You translate customer wishes into feasible 3D designs, guide a draftsman, and monitor quality and progress. You work on large custom projects from concept to realization, including system upgrades and technical issues during commissioning. You will work for a specialist in high-quality hydraulic systems for the maritime and offshore sector.
The organization designs and delivers custom solutions such as hydraulic installations, winches, and power packs, focusing on reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability. In addition to development and production, the company provides preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades, aiming for maximum uptime and performance for customers. Engineers collaborate closely with work preparation, production, and service to integrally guide projects from design to delivery.
What you do
- Design and develop 3D concepts, detailed drawings, and production/assembly drawings of hydraulic installations, winches, and power packs
- Translate customer wishes and technical specifications into feasible and functional designs
- Guide, mentor, and support a draftsman within the engineering team
- Monitor the quality, planning, and progress of engineering and drawing activities
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with engineering, work preparation, production, and service on technical issues and design changes
- Contribute to product improvements, system upgrades, and optimizations within designs and processes
- Ensure correct technical documentation and transfer to production, service
What they ask
- Completed MBO or HBO education in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Constructor, or Draftsman within machine building, hydraulics, or a similar sector
- Experience with Inventor or a similar 3D CAD package
- Experience with or affinity for guiding and mentoring colleagues
- Affinity with hydraulics, machine building, offshore, or maritime technology
- Strong communication skills and experience in contact with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented work attitude
