DevOps specialist Integration Platform

Within a directorate of a government organization, there is a unit responsible for service delivery and transition to new environments. This unit is divided into several scrum teams, including a team focused on integration. This team is currently transitioning to a new Azure Integration environment. For this team, a DevOps engineer is sought for the Azure integration platform.

The Integration Platform team is a business-critical link within the organization, supporting secure and reliable data exchange between various applications and chain partners.

What you will do. As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the management, continuity, and further development of the DevOps platform for the Integration Platform team. The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines in accordance with enterprise and government guidelines
  • Ensuring stability, availability, and security of the DevOps environment
  • Identifying, initiating, and collaborating on platform improvements in cooperation with internal teams
  • Supporting and advising development teams on the use of platform components within Azure integration services, including: Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIM, Service Bus, etc.
  • Setting up, managing, and optimizing a logging and alerting platform, focused on proactive monitoring, incident prevention, and continuous quality improvement
  • Contributing to standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the organization
  • Actively contributing ideas on cloud governance, cost control, and security measures

Profile

You are a structured and strong communicative DevOps Engineer who feels comfortable in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders. You have an eye for quality, continuity, and collaboration, and understand the importance of processes and guidelines within a government or enterprise environment. You act as a connecting link between various internal cloud teams and the Integration Platform team.

Together, you ensure that the platform meets the requirements for security, compliance, availability, and performance.

What they ask

  • Academic or HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
  • Fluent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken
  • Availability to work on-site
  • 3 years of demonstrable experience as a DevOps Engineer in an Azure environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and preferably experience with integration platforms (AIS)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, releases)
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting within Azure
