Associate Editor

• Editorial oversight: Be a strong judge of news. Assess what makes a story newsworthy and understand where it fits in the wider industry.
• Reporting: Source your own content. This means building a list of online sources sharing news about solid-state cooling and heating companies, as well as a network of human sources working in the industry.
• Managing publication: Establish and manage an editorial calendar for your articles.
• Writing/editing: You'll be responsible for writing and editing at least one article per day on the solid-state cooling and heating industry. Over time, the expectation is to publish more articles per day.
• Report on:
• New company and product launches
• In-depth interviews with company leaders
• Live reporting from trade shows and industry events
• Recently published scientific papers

What they ask

• Full fluency in English, either native or full business proficiency.
• 2+ years of experience editing or writing content, preferably at a newspaper or at an outlet focused on technical subjects (engineering, for example) or sustainability.
• Based in Europe.
• Experience working with highly technical subject matter and distilling it so a general audience can understand it.
• Experience using AI in content production and sourcing (for research).
• Willingness to travel to attend trade shows and industry events in Europe and other parts of the world (at least once per quarter).

Desired.

• Experience writing about solid-state cooling technologies or natural refrigerant-based heating and cooling technologies.
• Experience building your own AI tools to assist in content production.
• Experience recruiting and managing freelance writers.
