Childcare Worker

• Care and pedagogy of a group of 9 children (0-3 years)
• Assist with logistics and tidying up the childcare facility
• Maintain good and honest contact with parents
• Welcome children upon arrival
• Care for babies and toddlers
• Guide free play and stimulate children
• Prepare bottle feeds
• Offer appropriate food to children and guide them during mealtimes
• Initiate and guide potty training
• Guide nap times
• Check safety and provide visual or auditory supervision
• Tidy up and clean the spaces
• Observe and report
• Communicate with parents and colleagues
• Administrative tasks, such as filling in attendance lists, work files, a child tracking system, and a self-evaluation instrument

• Enthusiastic, respectful, and positive attitude

What they ask

• Diploma or certificate in childcare, or equivalent through experience (Technical secondary education - 3rd degree: Health and welfare)
• Conscientious and punctual in keeping appointments
• Knowledge of childcare and child development
• Ability to empathize with the world of children
• A heart for children, creative, and enjoys challenges
• Strong communication skills and honest towards parents and colleagues
• Willing to continuously learn
• Knows and has a feeling for the specific target group and the world of children
• Flexible, helpful, involved, loving, concerned, respectful
• Very good knowledge of Dutch
