Mental Health Nurse Specialist

In this assignment, as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will make a difference in the lives of people with complex psychiatric disorders. You play a crucial role within the WLZ (Long-term Care Act) context, where you guide adults with severe psychiatric disorders (EPA target group). You are central to individual treatment policy and work closely with the nursing team and the operational team leader. You treat clients recovery-oriented, with the ART methodology as an important guideline.

You translate the latest insights and treatment guidelines into tailor-made solutions, adapted to the unique care needs of each client. You continuously assess whether the treatment is still appropriate. Furthermore, you propagate the vision on care and coach the nursing team in this. This role offers a unique combination of medical and nursing tasks. You are the central point of contact, monitor the integrity of the treatment process, and contribute to quality improvement.

What you will do.

  • Work on the well-being of clients with complex psychiatric disorders
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans
  • Work closely with the nursing team and the operational team leader
  • Treat clients recovery-oriented, with the ART methodology as a guideline
  • Tailor care to the unique needs of clients
  • Continuously assess whether the treatment still aligns with the client through care alignment discussions and multidisciplinary consultations
  • Guide clients in their recovery process, ensuring a long-term and tailor-made process
  • Coach and guide the nursing team in propagating the mission and vision of care
  • Be central to the treatment process, ensuring high-quality and recovery-oriented care through your expertise and commitment
  • Contribute to sustainable recovery and continuous improvement of care quality

What they ask

  • A completed master's degree as a Nurse Specialist (MANP) with a specialization in Mental Health (GGZ) and corresponding BIG registration
  • Or a comparable level of knowledge and experience from another discipline
  • Affinity with long-term psychiatry
