You guide a group of 8 to 10 young people in a juvenile justice institution.
- The young people reside here due to a criminal justice measure and have often experienced a lot.
- You contribute to a safe return of young people to society.
What you do
- Seek contact with young people who are not immediately open to guidance.
- Monitor daily routines and provide stability.
- Calmly and clearly correct behavior, not the young people themselves, when boundaries are tested.
- Work in early or late shifts, with the possibility to indicate preferences in the schedule.
- In early shifts: wake up young people, ensure breakfast, accompany them to lessons, provide space for fresh air.
- In late shifts: pick up young people from school, provide relaxation activities (games, sports).
- Supervise the visiting room during youth visits.
- Conduct individual conversations with young people about their well-being.
- Contribute to the implementation of the treatment plan and provide input through reports.
What they ask
- Minimum MBO level (level will be assessed during the application procedure).
- Experience with a similar target group (internship experience is accepted).
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work irregular shifts.

- Empathy and environmental awareness to accurately sense what is happening within the group.
- Motivate young people and persuade them to adhere to agreements and participate in activities.
- Remain calm, react quickly, and adjust the approach appropriately in unexpected situations.
- Work accurately and make independent decisions.
- Reflect on your own actions for continuous development.
Practical
- After approximately 4 weeks of onboarding, you will participate in a basic Youth training (16 consecutive working days).
- Opportunities for growth to the role of forensic supervisor.
- A motivation letter is required.
- A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) is required upon a positive outcome of the application.
