Commercial Tender Manager

This role involves coordinating commercial activities, tender processes, and client proposals within an organization. You will support sales activities by preparing competitive bids, managing commercial input, and coordinating contractual and financial aspects during the tender and pre-award phases. It is a varied role that combines commercial insight, technical understanding, and structured coordination.

You will act as a key link between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, helping to turn client enquiries into clear, competitive, and practical proposals. You will manage tender processes from receipt of enquiry to submission, coordinate input from internal departments, and support the handover to the project team after contract award.

What you do

  • Manage commercial activities related to tenders, budget requests, and client enquiries
  • Coordinate pre-bid Sales & Marketing activities
  • Support commercial evaluation of project opportunities
  • Prepare and coordinate commercial proposals in line with company objectives
  • Support contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors
  • Coordinate tender processes from receipt of enquiry to submission
  • Ensure timely collection of input from internal departments, including technical, operational, legal, and insurance teams
  • Approach the market for subcontractor input for tender preparation
  • Prepare bid documentation and supporting commercial information
  • Prepare handover to the project team after contract award
  • Support review of contracts and charter parties from a commercial perspective
  • Act as focal point for client communication during the tender phase
  • Support clarification processes internally and with clients during tender stages
  • Conduct commercial communication with clients and subcontractors within assigned scope
  • Support contract preparation and review

What they ask

  • A degree in commercial management, business studies, engineering, or equivalent, preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a maritime, offshore, or marine contracting environment
  • A technical background in offshore contracting
  • Familiarity with commercial contract frameworks
  • A strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • A proactive and practical approach
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • The ability to represent the organization towards clients and partners
  • Good command of English, written and spoken
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office, maintenance tools, and project management tools
  • Driving licence B
  • Willingness to travel where required
