Within the IT department of a government organization, work is carried out using Scrum and DevOps principles. Teams are integrally responsible for the full technical service delivery, from idea to production. The team focusing on specific business applications is looking for a Project Architect.
What You Will Do.
- Develop a broad vision on current and future developments regarding business applications and cloud integration services.
- Be jointly responsible for designing and realizing efficient, stable, and future-proof IT solutions.
- Collaborate within multiple project and DevOps teams.
- Be responsible for making design choices and communicating any deviations from the architecture to the relevant Domain Architect.
- Coordinate all activities in the field of business application and integration architecture.
Responsibilities.
- Prepare a Solution Architecture Document (SAD) based on Solution Architectures, Domain Architectures, business input products, Use Case Specifications, and impact analyses.
- Actively contribute to solution and domain architecture.
- Visualize software architecture in layered levels (Context, Containers, Components, and Code), e.g., C4 modeling.
- Apply Domain Driven Design (DDD) to closely align the software structure with business domain logic.
- Use case modeling.
- Use modeling software, e.g., Enterprise Architect.
- Knowledge of UML, integration patterns, security principles, and cloud architectures.
- Work with Jira.
Profile
- Together with other architects, be responsible for the architectural runway, technology roadmap, and lifecycle management.
- Have a clear IT/architecture vision in the field of business applications and cloud integration services (department-wide & cross-domain) and promote it.
- Ensure a good DevOps culture by connecting teams and setting the right course between quality and the need to continuously generate business value.
- Effectively communicate and implement frameworks regarding integration strategy, uniform working methods (e.g., code quality, use of patterns, best practices), security, and performance to the teams.
- Effectively translate the impact of large programs in other domains for stakeholders and teams.
What they ask
- Academic or HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- Fluent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken.
- Availability to work on-site.
- 3 years of demonstrable experience as a DevOps Engineer in an Azure environment.
- Extensive experience with Architecture concepts, mainly in the field of application and software architecture.
- Experience with integrating business application solutions with other systems.
- Knowledge and experience of at least 10 of the following 13 products/technologies: Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Platform (Apex/Lightning), MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Mendix, AFAS Profit, AFAS InSite/OutSite, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Github/Copilot.
Preferences.
- Motivation letter explaining suitability for the assignment.
