As a psychologist-orthopedagogue, you will make a societal impact for children and adolescents with autism. You ensure the correct diagnosis and treatment for each client and their parents. Through expert advice and client-oriented initiatives, high-quality care is provided. You work under the supervision of a lead practitioner and are co-responsible for performing various clinical procedures in the field of diagnostics and treatment.
What you will do.
- Perform various outpatient procedures in the field of diagnostics, including intelligence testing, developmental anamneses, neuropsychological, and personality research.
- Conduct intake and consultation interviews and document them.
- Perform coordinating tasks for clients in your caseload, such as drawing up treatment plans, documenting treatment evaluations, and diagnostic research.
- Provide individual treatment based on cognitive-behavioral therapeutic protocols and techniques.
- Contribute to thinking about developments in diagnostics and treatment for the target group.
- Contribute at a policy level and be co-responsible for disseminating and shaping the treatment philosophy and working method.
- Assist with innovations, research, and quality improvement.
Profile
- Completed university degree as an orthopedagogue/psychologist.
- SKJ registered and in possession of a NVO or NIP diagnostic endorsement.
- Meets the conditions set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZA) in the Healthcare Performance Model (ZPM).
- Familiar with existing care standards.
- Experience with psychodiagnostic research is a plus.
- Has completed basic CBT training or is willing to follow it.
- Experience working within child and adolescent psychiatry, affinity with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and with activities suitable for an outpatient clinic.
- Able to shape individual treatments and has an affinity for systemic thinking.
- Shows initiative and can work both independently and multidisciplinarily.
- Eager to learn, flexible, communicatively skilled, possesses good written communication skills, and dares to take responsibility.
- Able to work demand- and results-oriented and connect with the client's and their family system's request for help.
Practical
You will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team characterized by enthusiasm, multidisciplinary collaboration, drive, and extensive expertise in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This clinic conducts specialized research into ASD and offers various forms of treatment (e.g., CBT for anxiety, trauma, OCD) for children, adolescents, and their parents aged 4-21. Our team consists of various disciplines with specialized knowledge of complex problems and co-morbidity in ASD.
Systemic thinking is highly valued. The organization supports the development of children, adolescents, and families who are stuck due to psychiatric problems, with the aim of offering a sustainable perspective.
