You will act as an experienced Transport Planner within the logistics team of a leading company in the Food & Beverage industry. You will coordinate and optimize daily transport operations to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries, in line with customer requirements. You will work closely with warehouse, production, customer service, carriers, and internal logistics teams.
The assignment has a hands-on operational focus and offers the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the transport planning process.
What you will do.
- Plan and coordinate daily transport activities across Belgium and surrounding regions
- Optimize transport routes, loads, capacity, and delivery schedules
- Coordinate closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure transport readiness
- Monitor deliveries and proactively resolve delays or operational issues
- Maintain accurate transport and shipment information in SAP
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Follow up on transport performance, costs, and service levels
- Ensure compliance with agreed delivery windows and customer requirements
- Handle transport-related administration and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, service levels, and transport costs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain function
Profile
- Several years of experience in transport planning, logistics
- Experience within Food & Beverage, FMCG, or a similar fast-moving environment is highly desirable
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP
- Good understanding of transport planning, routing, and carrier management
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch and English
