For a technology company, an HSE Advisor is sought to further shape safety, prevention, and environment on a production site. This autonomous role combines the responsibilities of Prevention Advisor level 2 and Environmental Coordinator type B.
What you do
- Work closely with the Site Manager and an international ESG team.
- Conduct risk analyses, safety inspections, and accident investigations, translating findings into preventive actions.
- Advise on machinery, installations, chemicals, and new work processes.
- Monitor the prevention policy, the global prevention plan, the annual action plan, and the CPBW.
- Manage environmental permits, legal obligations, and local environmental performance, including energy, waste, and emissions.
- Coordinate environmental data from various sites and support ISO 14001, audits, and international ESG objectives.
- Strengthen the safety culture through training, consultation, and collaboration with production, management, and external partners.
Profile
- Prevention Advisor level 2 and Environmental Coordinator type B.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably in an industrial, production, or high-tech environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001.
- Technical insight, knowledge of chemicals, and a good command of Belgian welfare and Flemish environmental legislation.
- Work independently, proactively, and pragmatically.
- Communicate convincingly with various stakeholders.
- Speak and write fluent Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
