Dialysis Nurse

• Treat patients with hemodialysis (HD) and plasma filtration (PF) in the department and at other locations within the medical center.
• Collaborate intensively with colleagues from various disciplines and departments, such as intensive care, recovery, and cardiac care.
• Contribute to the quality of dialysis care.
• Support the training of dialysis nurses and internist-nephrologists.
• Opportunity to work as a peritoneal dialysis (PD) nurse in the long term, including acute PD care and training for patients, caregivers, and parents.
• Conduct consultations together with internist-nephrologists or pediatric nephrologists.
• Work with both adult and pediatric patients, including visits to specialized children's hospitals.

What they ask

• Qualified dialysis nurse with a Dutch BIG registration.
• Experience with both chronic and acute care.
• Affinity with patients with complex pathology and/or co-morbidity.
• Driven, flexible, independent, and a good team player.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to contribute to scientific research, innovation, and training.
• Experience in various renal function replacement therapies is a plus.

• The dialysis department has 16 hemodialysis stations.
• Day shifts are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and evening shifts from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, on weekdays and weekends.
• On-call services are provided for acute care.
• You will work in a close-knit and independent team of approximately 35 colleagues.
• Significant influence on the organization of the department.
• Support from department assistants, department secretaries, practical trainers, senior nurses/coordinating nurses, a quality officer, and the management team.
