The coming years will be marked by a major renovation of a judicial building. During this period, the primary process must be able to continue fully. To this end, a new project department has been added to the facility team of a government organization.
What you will do. As a project employee, you will guide and realize projects together with the project leader of the Renovation team, other colleagues from the facility team, maintenance parties, a national real estate manager, and a contracting consortium. The renovation will involve partial reconstruction and partial renewal of the building. This will lead to many internal shifts, inconvenience, and temporary provisions.
Realizing and coordinating these processes, while ensuring that the building's occupants continue to be served, is an important task. You will primarily focus on relocation projects and managing contractors through the real estate manager.
- Drawing up and executing (technical) facility project plans in consultation with the team chairman and project leader;
- Identifying and coordinating issues that arise between the project organization and the standing facility team;
- Identifying risks and discussing them in a timely manner with the project leader;
- Drawing up and monitoring schedules and action lists, budgets, scope, and quality, adjusting where necessary;
- Independently coordinating and realizing facility and housing projects.
Profile
You have a good sense of proportion and know how to distinguish between main and minor issues. You work systematically, set priorities, and monitor progress even under time pressure. You are able to analyze, interpret, and translate information from various sources into concrete advice and solutions. You clearly communicate expectations about results, roles, and responsibilities. You are excellent at oral and written reporting. You quickly and independently master new subjects.
You are a strong communicator, able to communicate at different levels. A proactive and customer-oriented attitude, problem-solving skills, collaboration, flexibility, and organizational sensitivity are essential.
What they ask
- A completed HBO/WO education relevant to the position (e.g., Civil Engineering or Facility Management);
- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with coordinating projects in the facility area, particularly maintenance, relocation, and housing projects;
- Demonstrable professional knowledge of relevant laws and regulations;
- Preferably, experience gained with a national real estate manager as an external stakeholder/party;
- Experience with methodologies such as PRINCE2, IPM, or Projectmatig creëren is a plus;
- Excellent command of Dutch.
