Social Worker Youth Information Point
Help young people progress with practical solutions and personal attention. At the Youth Information Point (JIP), you help young people with questions about money, housing, school, relationships, and administrative matters, for example. You are given the space to work independently, collaborate with involved colleagues and partners, and directly see the results of your efforts.
What you will do. As a Social Worker at the Youth Information Point, you are an accessible point of contact for young people seeking support. No two days are the same. The questions young people come with are diverse and require a tailored approach.
- You listen, think along, and help young people directly where possible.
- If a question requires more time or specialized support, you schedule a follow-up appointment or ensure a warm referral to the right colleague, partner, or organization.
- You support young people with various questions and challenges.
- You provide information, advice, and practical support.
- You conduct conversations with young people and identify their needs.
- You make follow-up appointments when necessary.
- You refer young people to appropriate support within or outside a welfare organization.
- You collaborate with a municipal youth desk and other partners.
What they ask
- You easily connect with young people and enjoy working with them.
- You are approachable, involved, and can effectively respond to the different questions they have.
- You have a relevant MBO diploma (vocational education).
- Preferably several years of experience working with young people.
Practical
- Registration as a Social Worker with Registerplein is a requirement. If not yet registered, active assistance will be provided in the first few months.
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required. The application costs will be reimbursed.
