This assignment involves a role within a technology company that manages a 100% digital staffing platform for flexible workers and students. The company is fast-growing and operates internationally in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. The mission is to become the largest digital platform for flexible workers and students in the EU. You will be working on the infrastructure that keeps the entire platform running.
What you will do.
- Keep AKS clusters healthy: node upgrades, Kubernetes version upgrades, and general maintenance.
- Maintain and update Helm charts, and keep an eye on upstream changes.
- Monitor clusters and workloads, and jump on alerts before they turn into real incidents.
- Safely and timely manage secrets, certificates, and access.
- Spot and fix security issues in the infrastructure, and help harden the setup.
- Own incidents end-to-end: figure out what happened, fix it, write it down, make sure it doesn't happen twice.
- Automate repetitive tasks.
- Lend a hand on GitLab pipelines, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows whenever the team needs backup.
- Team up with the Platform Engineer on the in-house Internal Developer Portal, helping shape the tools the rest of engineering uses every day.
Profile
You are curious, calm under pressure, and never quite satisfied with “it works, don't touch it.” You are genuinely comfortable in Linux, the terminal, and Kubernetes, and have the instinct to find out why something broke instead of just restarting it and hoping for the best. Experience with Azure and the rest of the toolbox can be built upon.

- Solid, hands-on experience with Linux and Bash. You are comfortable in a terminal and can script your way out of repetitive work.
- The right mindset: curious, calm under pressure, and someone who closes the loop instead of just closing the ticket.
- A solid grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancers, reverse proxies, web servers, and how they all fit together when something's not connecting.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience. You can troubleshoot nodes, navigate RBAC and networking, and know what to check when a workload misbehaves.
