Operational Preparation Manager

End-to-end management of the operational preparation for a migration phase within a financial sector organization.

Building and monitoring the preparation plan, milestones, dependencies, risks, and Go/No-Go criteria.
Performing impact and gap analyses on operations, IT, Finance, Legal, Risk, Actuarial, and Customer Service.
Transforming migration impacts into executable operational processes, controls, and procedures.
Defining operational requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
Managing training, knowledge transfer, and the target organization.
Defining RACI, capabilities, competencies, access, and segregation of duties.
Managing cutover, business continuity, backup solutions, and hyper-care.
Coordinating stakeholders and ensuring executive reporting / Go-No-Go.
Identifying and escalating risks, defects, and client/regulatory impacts, with concrete recommendations.
Organizing the transition to BAU (Business As Usual) and ensuring a controlled handover to operational teams.

Tools.

Profile

8 years of experience in project management, including at least 3 years in operational preparation, transformation, or migration within the insurance or financial services sector.
Confirmed expertise in life insurance operations and policy administration.
Solid experience in portfolio/data migration, cutover, transition, hyper-care, and transition to BAU.
Proficiency in process design, controls, RACI, operational models, and capacity plans.
Strong experience in governance, risk management, dependencies, decisions, and stakeholders.
Ability to manage business, IT, compliance, risk, finance, and vendor environments.
Knowledge of Solvency II, IDD, GDPR, AML/Sanctions, and product governance is a plus.
Excellent leadership, communication, structuring, and crisis management skills.
Professional French or Dutch and fluent English are mandatory.
