Infection Prevention Expert

Contribute to safe care for patients and staff within an academic hospital.

• Infection prevention plays a crucial role in healthcare and has a direct impact on operations and safety.
• Prevent the spread of infectious diseases and (resistant) microorganisms.
• Work in an environment with high-risk patients (neonatology IC, hematology, ICUs, operating complexes).
• Collaborate with various departments, stakeholders, and support services.
• Play an active role in hospital-wide quality projects.

What you will do.

• Develop and implement infection prevention policy.
• Identify, investigate, and analyze (hospital) infections and risky conditions related to contamination.
• Develop information and instruction material and provide training.
• Improve and ensure quality, including through the JCI system.
• Provide professional input in project groups and committees, both internal and external.
• Participate in the operational tasks of the department.
• As an infection prevention expert, you do not have on-call duties.

What they ask

• A completed training as an infection prevention expert with a CZO recognized diploma (strict requirement).
• A valid registration in the VHIG quality register.
• You are communicative and socially skilled and have good written expression skills (a good command of Dutch is required).
• A proactive and active attitude and you are able to motivate and stimulate.
• You are flexible and able to work well in a team.
