Contract Manager
A large and complex government organization is looking for an independent contract manager for strong and accurate contract management. You will work within a facility services team that supports operational work 24/7 with various products and services. This team manages all facility matters in the organization's buildings. You will be part of a team of 14 colleagues within business administration.
What you will do.
- Act as a link between suppliers and the organization's operations.
- Monitor contractual agreements with suppliers at a tactical level.
- Ensure correct interpretation of contracts to prevent misunderstandings during implementation.
- Safeguard the optimal outcome of all contractual matters for the availability of agreed resources.
- Resolve gaps that arise in agreements made with suppliers.
- Conduct discussions with suppliers and act as an intermediary between national and regional units.
- Independently manage large and complex contracts within the unit.
- Maintain intensive contact with operational supervisors.
- In some cases, take the lead on national contracts.
- Be the first replacement for the team coordinator and the point of contact for personnel and operational matters.
- Collaborate with fellow contract managers on the further development of contract management.

- Familiar with large and complex contracts and the associated challenges.
- Capable of independently managing projects and multiple contracts.
- Proactive and takes initiative to improve service delivery for the organization.
- Can distinguish main issues from side issues.
- Relationally focused on connecting and collaborating.
- Can guide fellow contract managers in developments within the field and the organization.
- Capable of advising the management team on processes, developments, and improvement opportunities.
- Structured, analytical insight, and customer-oriented.
- Good coaching, advisory, and communication skills, techniques, and persuasiveness.
What they ask
- HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level and a degree in business administration or facility management.
- Demonstrable experience as a contract manager of large and complex services.
- Experience with (European) tender processes.
- Knowledge of the CATS CM methodology or motivated to obtain CATS CM Foundation and Practitioner in the first year.
Preferences.
- Preferably completed Nevi 1 training.
