Social psychiatric nurse

As a social psychiatric nurse, you will work in an ambitious environment where you can make a significant difference for children and young adults (4-25 years) who experience serious problems due to psychological complaints, require complex care, or have a high-risk clinical picture. You will join a small, dedicated team that combines emergency and crisis care for young people with highly specialized mental health care.

Within the acute section, there is intensive collaboration with colleagues from adult emergency and crisis care. Simultaneously, a larger team is being built for highly specialized care. There is room to indicate your preferences and affinities, so that your expertise is optimally utilized.

What you will do.

  • Play an important daily role in drawing up, implementing, and evaluating the treatment plan within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be in direct contact with family and/or relatives, aiming for a better living situation for everyone.
  • Meet children and young people referred for (acute) psychiatric care during an intake interview.
  • Based on the intake interview, determine the follow-up trajectory together with the lead practitioner and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Guide and treat children or young people with a view to stabilization and recovery.
  • Where necessary, make home visits with a colleague.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from the acute day treatment within the team, where children and young people can attend for several half-days a week.
  • Be in direct contact with family and/or relatives, aimed at better treatment and support for young people.
  • Collaborate with chain partners, such as general practitioners, public health services, municipalities, police, schools, and youth institutions, to provide appropriate care in the right place.
  • As a coordinator, have an important task in organizing and maintaining the dossier.

Profile

  • Proactive healthcare professional who can work both individually and in groups.
  • Always thinks and acts from a recovery-oriented perspective.
  • BIG registration as a nurse (HBO-V or comparable) and an AGB code.
  • Graduated as a Social Psychiatric Nurse (SPV).
  • Gained experience as an outpatient nurse within psychiatry, preferably in a polyclinic.
  • Experience with the target group of children and youth is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Networker who proactively brings people and organizations together for a better care offering.
  • Affinity with the (further) development of psychiatric care and enjoys contributing to the further establishment of the polyclinic.
