As a nutrition assistant, you contribute daily to the well-being of patients within an academic medical center. You help patients choose healthy and appropriate nutrition and ensure a welcoming experience. You support care staff and contribute to a pleasant and safe stay.
What you will do.
- Guide patients in their food choices and explain the importance of good nutrition
- Prepare fresh products such as smoothies and snacks according to recipes
- Ensure compliance with HACCP hygiene rules and protocols
- Check the quality of meals and products
- Place orders and maintain digital administration
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch
- Ensure attractive presentation of hot meals
- Manage stock
- Actively contribute ideas for process improvements
- Liaise with colleagues from care, kitchen, and facility services
- Ensure structure and overview
What they ask
- Completed education at least MBO level 2
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the hospitality or catering industry in a front-office role
- Experience as a nutrition assistant is a plus
- Basic computer skills (Windows, internet, e-mail)
- Flexibility in availability: able to work shifts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, available every other weekend, and available on Mondays and Fridays
- Good communication skills: Dutch at a minimum B2 level
