Project Advisor

An organization represents regional interests within the EU/EEA system. The office has an open position as a Project Advisor. The organization has three main tasks: contributing to insight, representation, and projects for the region. This role strengthens project work, initiates EU/EEA-funded projects, and advises members on applications and implementation. The Project Advisor will play a key role in the organization's network, working with members to maximize benefits from participation in various EU programs.

The position also includes subject matter responsibility for research, innovation, and education, including monitoring EU policies and disseminating information. There is also responsibility for at least one other priority subject area. The organization is a small entity where all employees contribute to all aspects of the work, including practical tasks such as organizing events.

The organization offers varied tasks in a good working environment with close collaboration between colleagues and with member institutions, as well as an exciting network of partners from across Europe.

What you will do.

  • Monitor and identify relevant calls and initiatives that can become projects for the organization's members. This includes European framework programs such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and Interreg, as well as EEA grants.
  • Contribute to members' participation in projects, advise during application and project work, and act as a secretariat for a resource group.
  • Take an active role in the organization's European network, including a research and innovation network, and help find European project partners.
  • Represent the organization's members at relevant arenas and forums when needed.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in EU education, innovation, and research policy, with a special focus on themes relevant to members. Report on this through newsletters, notes, and other channels. Similar responsibility for at least one other subject area.
  • Disseminate information to members through visits and presentations.
  • Representation and networking with both international and national actors.
  • Handle ongoing tasks, including processing inquiries and administrative duties.

What they ask

  • Relevant completed master's degree or equivalent. Relevant work experience may in some cases substitute this requirement.
  • Good knowledge and experience related to working with EU programs, EEA grants, and similar.
  • Ability to delve into complex subject areas and convey information simply and clearly.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in Scandinavian languages and English.

Desirables.

  • Good knowledge of the organization's member institutions and the region.
  • Good knowledge of national and European education, innovation, and research policy.
  • Experience with information work.
  • International experience.
  • French language skills.
