Income Consultant

A government organization is involved in the entire local community, from waste containers to swimming pools, from home care to bicycle paths. As a result, many different people with various educational backgrounds and expertise work here. You work with people, for people, and can truly make a difference. The wishes and needs, as well as the possibilities of the residents, are taken into account in the plans, provided they comply with laws and regulations.

This is complex, extremely interesting, and entails responsibilities. For a livelihood security team, an experienced and independently working income consultant is sought for temporary replacement due to maternity leave.

What you do

As an income consultant, you contribute to the timely, lawful, and careful implementation of the Participation Act and related regulations. You are able to independently process applications and mutations and communicate clearly with residents and colleagues.

  • Assessing applications for general social assistance and special social assistance
  • Processing mutations and changes in ongoing benefits
  • Conducting legality investigations and reassessments
  • Conducting interviews with residents
  • Assessing the legality of benefits
  • Drafting reports, advice
  • Meticulously recording activities and findings in municipal systems
  • Identifying peculiarities and coordinating with colleagues where necessary

What they ask

  • Minimum of two years of recent work experience as an income consultant at a government organization
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with the Participation Act
  • Experience with independently processing applications for livelihood and special social assistance
  • HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • An independent and proactive work attitude
  • The ability to work carefully and efficiently within applicable laws and regulations
  • Experience with municipal applications within the social domain
  • Experience with processing reassessments and mutations
  • Experience within a municipal implementation organization in the field of income and livelihood security

Wishes.

  • Experience with C-Sam is a plus
  • A candidate who can quickly become independently productive
  • Demonstrable HBO level education
  • Two years of demonstrable experience within a government organization
  • Two years of recent work experience in the field of income consulting
