As a supervisor, you support residents with a mild/moderate intellectual disability to become self-reliant and to live and grow independently. The residential location houses 24 people of various ages and backgrounds in an apartment complex. Each resident has their own apartment, with shared living rooms. During the day, residents are engaged in work or day activities. The group is diverse, including aging, vital residents, each with unique care needs and possibilities.
What you will do. You will work in a driven team of 12 colleagues, together with behavioral experts and other specialists. You offer tailor-made guidance, supported by a network. You create a safe and stable environment and help residents understand the world around them. You support them with:
- Housekeeping
- Personal care
- Social contacts
- Daily structure
You help residents participate fully in society and expand their world. In addition:
- You are responsible for the quality of care and guidance
- You participate in projects focused on meaningful day activities
- You continuously seek the balance between stimulating and maintaining skills
- You contribute to a positive and open working atmosphere
