A cultural organization brings stories to life through various events that attract hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The team is small, experienced, and has a big heart for culture. In addition to the festival calendar, other cultural activities are programmed and managed, and technical support is provided for events. In 2027, an international collaboration will be established with a partner organization for a series of events and activities in two cities, with a shared program in two languages.
What you will do. As the behind-the-scenes director, you oversee all project lines, from planning to execution. You liaise between artistic leadership, producers, and marketing colleagues, as well as between international partners. You ensure that projects are not only well-executed but also visible and heard.
- You monitor the progress of festivals and activities and keep all parties on track.
- You are the point of contact for partners, suppliers, and producers, both nationally and internationally.
- You give projects an external face through marketing and PR.
- You contribute at a tactical level and advise partners on the setup and approach of events, with an eye on future possibilities.
Profile
We are looking for a versatile organizer with a creative vision. You know what it takes to set up a program and how to attract an audience. You oversee the big picture while also having an eye for the details that make a difference. You work independently, persevere when things get challenging, and your enthusiasm is contagious.
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- At least three to five years of relevant work experience in a similar role, including projects you are proud of.
- Your own vision on the direction of events and (international) collaborations.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German is a plus.
Practical
- The option exists to work as a freelancer, with an appropriate hourly fee to be agreed upon.
