Sounding Master
A specialized geotechnical consulting firm offers comprehensive advice in the fields of geotechnics, geohydrology, environmental science, and environmental impact. This begins with thorough soil investigation to accurately map soil conditions, followed by specialized foundation advice. Their expertise is used for residential construction, infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels), dikes, hydraulic structures, and large urban construction projects.
Additionally, the firm is skilled in the design of excavation pits and sheet piling, performs detailed stability calculations, and assesses environmental effects on adjacent properties with risk analyses and appropriate control measures. Geomonitoring activities are also carried out, including extensive groundwater monitoring networks and guidance for foundation and earthworks.
What you do
- Independently perform soundings
- Install various measuring instruments such as piezometers and water pressure sensors
- Occasionally perform small drilling and/or surveying activities independently
- All common tasks expected of this position
What they ask
- Relevant work experience
- Knowledge of current standards
- Driving license B (driving licenses C/E and Code 95 are a plus, not a requirement)
- A valid VOL-VCA certificate
- Eye for safety and environment
- A flexible attitude and independence
- Excellent command of the Dutch language
