As a mobility advisor, you maintain an overview and help colleagues make good choices. You think along about major mobility issues and delve into concrete situations.

You switch between strategic issues, practical solutions, and collaboration with residents and colleagues, thus contributing to accessibility, safety, and liveability.

What you will do.

  • Advise on traffic and mobility in spatial projects, safeguarding policy and design principles.
  • Contribute to solutions for traffic issues, test plans against laws and regulations, and consult with project teams, colleagues, and residents.
  • Translate complex issues into clear advice and practical solutions.
  • Work on projects such as traffic circulation in a neighborhood, urban redesign projects (e.g., in combination with major maintenance or infrastructure construction), and possibly updating built-up area boundaries.
  • Be substantively involved in traffic engineering issues, ensuring good work distribution and clear priorities.
  • Identify necessary expertise and bring the right people together.
  • Lead the tactical mobility team, which translates mobility policy into concrete solutions in public spaces.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various fields (urban planning, management, project management, design) and involve stakeholders (residents) in plans.

  • Understands the connection between mobility issues and spatial development.
  • Knows how to involve others in their advice.
  • Easily switches between strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
  • Knows when to delve into content and when to maintain an overview.

  • HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
  • Solid experience in the field of traffic or mobility, for example as a traffic engineer, traffic advisor, mobility advisor, or traffic/transport/mobility generalist.
  • Good command of the Dutch language (minimum B2 level) in word and writing.
