An organization is looking for an OT Automation Engineer for one of its clients, with a Master's degree in engineering and 10 years of experience. You will follow up on suppliers and contractors for new OT installations and bring an existing site up to standard. You have a good knowledge of automation systems and industrial networks and have primarily worked with Siemens.
What you do
- You make agreements with suppliers on how they support and manage their OT systems, according to specifications for documentation, management, and security. This ensures that the maintenance department and OT compliance engineers can continue the work later.
- Together with an OT compliance engineer, you discuss risk assessments and resulting measures with suppliers. You also guide the assessments on the OT systems yourself.
- You agree with the main contractors on what should be included in the delivery file, to minimize missing items.
- During the installation and commissioning of OT systems, network connections, and communication, you follow up on suppliers and ensure that non-conformities are handled.
- On a complex site, you lead and coordinate the process to bring OT systems, documentation, conformity, and local support up to standard.
Profile
- A Master's degree in engineering.
- 10 years of experience.
- Experience with OT projects in various contexts and corporate cultures.
- Good technical knowledge of automation systems and industrial networks, sufficient to correctly assess and follow up on suppliers and their support. You have worked with various systems, primarily Siemens.
- Very good command of Dutch and English.
- You are willing to travel regularly abroad, for a few days to a week at a time.
- You adapt your communication to the people and organization you are dealing with, and you are clear, both in writing and in conversation. You quickly grasp how an organization works and what is going on. You work towards results but do not get stuck if information is missing or a solution is temporary. You remain calm under pressure. You have an eye for the people you work with and choose what works in practice.
