For an internationally operating logistics organization, there is a need for an experienced financial executive. This person will provide an independent insight into the current state of the financial organization. The interim period will form the basis for determining the correct structure and profile of the future permanent CFO. The organization operates internationally and has an entrepreneurial environment with short lines of communication.
There is room for someone who can look independently, ask sharp questions, and arrive at a clear judgment based on experience.
What you will do. As CFO, your assignment will be to objectively determine where Finance stands today and what is needed for the next phase of the organization.
- Independently assess the current financial organization
- Analyze processes, systems, reports, and internal control
- Evaluate the quality and usability of management information
- Provide insight into financial performance and key risks
- Assess the current structure and capabilities of the finance team
- Identify areas for improvement and priorities
- Advise on the desired structure of the Finance function
- Define the role, responsibilities, and profile of the future permanent CFO
You will be a sparring partner for management and translate findings into concrete recommendations. You will help determine what the financial function should look like in the future.
Profile
We are looking for an experienced CFO / Finance Director who is accustomed to quickly gaining an overview in complex or changing organizations.
- Extensive experience as CFO, Finance Director, or comparable ultimate financial responsible
- Proven experience in assessing and professionalizing financial organizations
- Experience in an international environment, preferably within logistics, transport, or a similar sector
- A strong financial and business economic foundation
- The ability to quickly get to the core
- Independence, seniority, and natural authority
- A pragmatic and entrepreneurial attitude
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, German is a plus
You are strongly analytical, independent in your judgment, and at the same time pragmatic in your approach. You are able to quickly identify where the problem lies and what is needed to solve it. You can take an independent position, even if it means sharing critical observations.
