A temporary Team Leader Public Safety and Permits is sought for a Spatial Development and Management department. You will enter a dynamic environment where societal challenges in public order, safety, permits, and administrative issues converge. The position is temporarily filled due to the illness of the current team leader.
The Team. The team is responsible for permit issuance, supervision, enforcement, and public order and safety within the organization. The team consists of professionals in permit issuance, BOA deployment, and VTH (Permits, Supervision, and Enforcement), and works daily towards a safe, livable, and well-organized environment. For this, intensive collaboration takes place with residents, entrepreneurs, administrators, and chain partners such as the police, safety region, and environmental service.
Within a dynamic administrative environment, the team ensures professional execution of laws and regulations, services, and safety issues.
What you will do. As an interim Team Leader Public Safety and Permits, you are responsible for the daily management of the team and the continuity of services. You lead employees in permit issuance, supervision and enforcement (VTH), BOAs, and public safety, ensuring connection, prioritization, and results. The team consists of 29 employees. For content-related functional guidance, the team leader is assisted by a senior employee for VTH and a senior employee for OV&V.
The established (content-related) course must be continued.

- Maintains contacts with chain partners such as the police, safety region, and environmental service
- Contributes to the further development and professionalization of the team and work processes
You report to the department manager and are part of the management consultation.

- Demonstrably completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience in an independent leadership position within the government
- Demonstrable work experience in the field of Permits & Public Safety within spatial development and management
