What you do
As a Permit Coordinator, you ensure that all permit applications in your area are handled smoothly.
- You lead a team of 7-10 employees on content and quality.
- You distribute work and ensure professional alignment within and outside your area.
- You collaborate closely with colleagues from other departments and are the point of contact for area coordinators.
- You maintain an overview, adjust where necessary, and actively contribute to improving work processes, policies, and agreements.
- You handle complex applications, environmental consultations, and environmental permits yourself.
Your main tasks.
- First point of contact for area coordinators and colleagues in your area.
- Ensuring the integrated, qualitative, and timely processing of complex applications, including environmental consultations and environmental permits.
- Responsible for professional alignment within and outside your area and for the quality of permit issuance by the team.
- Actively advising initiators, internal colleagues, and external relations on permit procedures.
- Contributing to the development and improvement of policies, work agreements, and professional processes.
- Identifying opportunities and bottlenecks in work agreements and processes and proactively addressing them.
- Guiding (senior) case managers and starting process managers in their activities.

What they ask
- Academic working and thinking level.
- Relevant work experience in technically leading a team and assessing and guiding environmental permit applications.
- A completed ABW1 and ABW2 diploma and additional training, for example on the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet), or the willingness to obtain these.
- Extensive experience in guiding projects in early phases, with familiarity with environmental consultations as a plus.
