For a residential care center, they are looking for a medical pedicurist who, with care, patience, and attention, helps residents keep their feet healthy and comfortable. Working with the elderly requires more than just professional knowledge. A friendly approach, a listening ear, and respect for each resident are at least as important.
What you do
As a medical pedicurist, you are responsible for the professional foot care of the residents. You:
- Care for nails and feet in an expert and hygienic manner.
- Treat calluses, corns, fissures, and thickened or ingrown nails, among other things.
- Pay extra attention to vulnerable and at-risk feet.
- Signal any potential foot problems and report them to the nurse or care assistant of the relevant department.
- Ensure that every treatment proceeds in a calm, respectful, and pleasant manner.
- Collaborate well with staff and take into account the individual needs of the residents.
Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Has completed training as a medical pedicurist / specialized foot care provider (certificate).
- Complies with the legal and social obligations applicable to practicing as an independent medical pedicurist.
- Has experience with foot care for the elderly or vulnerable persons, or is eager to gain experience in this field (experience is a significant plus).
- Works hygienically, accurately, and independently.
- Is social, patient, and discreet.
- Has an affinity for the elderly.
- Is reliable and adheres to agreements correctly.
