Technical Specialist Quantum Technology

You will become a Technical Specialist Quantum Innovation within a specialized department that accelerates the organization's adaptability by making new technology applicable to professionals.

The Quantum team is part of a department focused on knowledge building and the realization of technological innovations, including cyber, IT, physical systems, and quantum technology. Success means that professionals maintain a lead through innovation.

What you do

You will work within the quantum team on innovations in the field of quantum sensing. You will make a significant technical contribution to the preparation, execution, and improvement of experiments, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes. You will support multidisciplinary teams and partners with technical questions and ensure that results are usable for follow-up actions. You will be responsible for:

  • Technically preparing and supporting experiments with quantum sensors and related subsystems
  • Contributing to the design, adjustment, testing, and, if necessary, improvement of technical setups within agreed frameworks
  • Performing (partial) analyses, interpreting measurement results, and supporting reporting
  • Translating technical findings into practical follow-up steps
  • Supporting the structuring of test activities (planning, dependencies, readiness checks)
  • Identifying technical bottlenecks, deviations
  • Contributing to trend and technology watch activities

  • A completed university (WO) degree with experience in quantum sensors

  • The ability to support the team in translating quantum technology into experiments, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes to clearly identify the organization's needs
  • Collaborating with universities, knowledge institutions, and companies to conduct quantum experiments

  • A security clearance and reference check are part of the selection procedure

  • To be eligible for this position, you must be from a country within the European Economic Area, or possess a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA)
