You work towards the safe return of young people to society within a juvenile justice institution. You guide a group of 8 to 10 young people in their daily routine, implement treatment plans, and act as a mentor. The work environment is challenging, with young people who often have little trust in care and guidance. Calmness, clarity, and respect are central to your approach.
What you do
- Guide a group of young people in their daily routine.
- Implement treatment plans.
- Mentor 1 or 2 young people, including weekly discussions and contact with their network.
- Collaborate with 2 colleagues per shift for daily guidance, such as accompanying them to classes, providing moments of fresh air and relaxation.
- Monitor progress in periodic reports and report daily on the entire group.
- Provide important, substantive input for treatment plans.
What they ask
- HBO diploma in social work, pedagogy, or similar predecessors (sph, mwd), or an EVC certificate for a qualified HBO youth and family professional.
- Preferably relevant experience (also gained through an internship or volunteer work).
- SKJ registration (or willingness to start as a group leader to transition into the forensic supervisor role).
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work irregular shifts.

- You creatively adjust your approach in unexpected situations.
- You work accurately, make proactive and independent decisions.
- You can critically reflect on your own actions.
Practical
- Participation in a basic youth training course of 16 consecutive working days after employment (after approximately 4 weeks of onboarding).
