Psychologist

• Conduct a social investigation into the suitability of prospective adoptive parents for adoption, commissioned by the Family Court and in collaboration with a social assistant.
• Conduct individual interviews with prospective adoptive parents at the service.
• Prepare detailed interview reports and a final report.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case discussions.
• Punctually perform administrative tasks.
• Contribute to the development of a vision and methodology regarding adoption.

• You hold a Master's degree in Psychology or equivalent by experience.
• You possess sufficient maturity and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• You align with the organization's vision on adoption.
• Knowledge and insight into the complexity of adoption is an asset.
• You are open to reflection on your own work and functioning.
• You are eager to learn and flexible.
• You have a sense of responsibility and can work independently.

• Knowledge of conducting evaluative interviews.
• Ability to deal with resistance from prospective adoptive parents.
• Ability to connect with prospective adoptive parents despite being in an evaluative position.
• Ability to find a good balance between involvement and professional distance.
• Ability to invite prospective adoptive parents to self-reflection and dare to confront them.
• Basic attitude of respect and openness, judging prospective adoptive parents without condemning them.
• Ability to conduct professional conversations in French and/or English is a plus.
• You have a fluent professional speaking and writing style.
• You are able to provide sound reporting to the family court.
• You are open to evaluating your own working methods and adapting them to new (scientific) insights and trends within the field.
• You can correctly handle professional secrecy and privacy laws.
• You possess general computer skills and can work with the Office suite.
• You plan and organize your own work and agenda.
• You can work according to established procedures.
