You are a technical specialist within a Modern Workplace team. You design, implement, and manage modern workplace solutions and play a key role in the further development of a hybrid cloud strategy. You work in a challenging environment where Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, and automation are central. Additionally, you make a significant contribution to a comprehensive transition where applications are exposed within a hybrid cloud architecture.
What you will do.
- Design, build, and manage modern workplace environments in on-premise, hybrid, and cloud settings.
- Implement and further develop Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Microsoft Intune.
- Set up and optimize Azure Landing Zones in accordance with architectural frameworks.
- Automate management processes with PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Azure DevOps.
- Establish, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
- Advise architects, product owners, and stakeholders on modern workplace solutions.
- Monitor performance, security, compliance, and manageability.
- Coach and guide fellow engineers on technical issues.
- Collaborate with teams in infrastructure, security, architecture, and application management.
- Contribute to the migration and exposure of applications within a hybrid cloud environment.
- Further development of the Modern Workplace Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
- Management and optimization via Nerdio.
- Realization of Azure Landing Zones in accordance with the target architecture.
- Migration and exposure of over 50 applications within a hybrid cloud architecture.
- Creation and application of Azure migration designs.
- Ensuring knowledge transfer and management within the line organization.
- Updating the CMDB and management processes.
Profile
You are an experienced engineer who enjoys taking responsibility, providing technical direction, and helping colleagues grow. You will be part of a team consisting of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and six specialized colleagues. The team works according to Agile/Scrum principles and is characterized by a high degree of ownership, craftsmanship, and collaboration. You will collaborate with colleagues from infrastructure, network management, security, architecture, application management, and information services.

- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a modern workplace engineer, workplace architect, or directly comparable role.
- Demonstrable work experience with complex enterprise IT environments.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, and Modern Workplace transitions in complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrable work experience with hybrid cloud migrations, Azure Landing Zones, and application exposure.
- Demonstrable work experience within a public, semi-public, or comparable administrative environment, preferably in the water sector.
- Demonstrable work experience with automation, such as PowerShell, Azure Automation, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
