Reliability Engineer
For a leading industrial player, we are looking for a Reliability Engineer who wants to contribute to a high-performing, safe, and future-proof production environment. You will join an existing, strong role within the maintenance team, where you will make a difference by preventing downtime and continuously improving installations.
What you will do. As a Reliability Engineer, you are the central figure between production, maintenance, and engineering. You ensure that critical installations operate reliably, safely, and as efficiently as possible. Specifically, you will:
- Perform analyses of malfunctions and recurring problems (Root Cause Analysis, 5xWhy, Ishikawa, …).
- Increase the reliability of installations through targeted improvement actions and projects.
- Set up and optimize maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, condition-based).
- Map critical installations (criticality analyses) and objectively assess risks.
- Use data from the maintenance system and sensors to detect trends and predict failures.
- Collaborate closely with technicians, supervisors, and engineers to develop and implement solutions.
- Define and roll out technical standards and best practices within the site.
- Report on reliability, downtime, MTBF/MTTR, and propose continuous improvements.
Profile
Ideally, you recognize yourself in the following:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field (electromechanics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, …) or equivalent by experience.
- Several years of experience in an industrial environment (production, process industry, chemistry, food, …) is a plus.
- You are energized by thoroughly investigating problems and think in terms of causes and solutions, not symptoms.
- Knowledge of or interest in reliability tools such as RCA, FMEA, TPM, RCM
- You are strongly analytical, but also hands-on enough to go to the floor, observe, and test.
- You can easily switch and communicate with technicians, operators, and management.
- You speak fluent Dutch; English is a plus.
Offer. As a Reliability Engineer, you can count on:
- Clear scope: you take over an existing role with room to implement improvements.
- Professional and substantive sparring with experienced maintenance & engineering teams.
- Smooth onboarding so you can quickly make an impact.
