Project Manager

An urban area will transform in the coming years into a place where living, working, and staying are central. Within this framework, work is being done on the development of approximately 500 homes and a new underground parking garage. The planning is currently in an exploratory and elaboration phase. Participation with residents, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders is essential.

What you will do.

• Be integrally responsible for the project
• Ensure coordination with and management of interfaces with other projects
• Prepare necessary decision-making documents
• Guide future tenders and contracts
• Oversee the execution of the entire project
• Create administrative support
• Optimally involve stakeholders in the project
• Draft a correct assignment formulation
• Write good decision-making documents
• Guide tendering procedures
• Sharply manage progress, risk control, quality
• Lead the project team
• Coordinate with relevant municipal disciplines and the environment
• Build and maintain a network
• Ensure a stimulating and positive working environment in the team
• Promote coherence and collaboration through clear communication and good consultation
• Regular coordination with the department manager of the Project Bureau

What they ask

• Minimum 7 years of experience in the last 10 years as a project manager of complex, strategic urban and area development
• Minimum 5 years of experience within a government organization with at least 13,000 inhabitants
• Experience with municipal project management of large-scale housing construction and area development, contracting
• University (WO) working and thinking level

Wishes.

• Experience in leading complex urban and/or area development projects
• Experience with negotiations and collaboration with developers and other involved parties
• Knowledge of spatial procedures, infrastructure, and public space design
• Experience with participation and dealing with diverse and conflicting interests
• Knowledge of political-administrative decision-making
