A cultural organization in a specific region is looking for a program maker for a traveling incubator, a stage and meeting space for local wordsmiths of all genres, levels, and ages. Since its inception, the organization has worked with stage programming and a new style writers' guild. The existing framework needs to be organizationally strengthened by a program maker who will contribute their vision and insights to the program's content.
The role offers freedom for original interpretation within the existing framework.
What you do
Responsible for independently conceiving, developing, and executing the literary program within the existing setup of program components.
Responsibilities.
- Develop and fill specific program components in consultation with the artistic and business director.
- Research suitable writers and writing coaches for themes and workshops.
- Ensure a broad and creative interpretation of programs, looking beyond traditional literature.
- Strengthen the local writing community through frequent contact with writers of all experience levels.
- Program in a way that benefits a growing network of local writers.
- Independently manage various practical matters such as planning, budgets, marketing, and communication around events.

- Completed HBO or WO education in Dutch language and literature, cultural studies, media, or a comparable background.
- Experience as a writer or profound knowledge of literature.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with programming in the cultural sector, preferably within literature.
