Guest Lecturer Wild World

• Gives guest lessons approximately 10 times a year to primary school children (grades 4 to 8) and sometimes at other locations.
• Together with a fellow volunteer, gives guest lessons of 60 to 75 minutes, varying from 2 or 3 lessons per session.
• Ensures that children gain more insight and information about natural disasters and climate change.
• Teaches children how to prepare for these events and what a humanitarian organization does to help people in affected areas.
• Uses engaging, interactive teaching material and applies it in such a way that children are captivated and actively participate in the lesson.

What they ask

• Experience working for/with primary school-aged children and/or experience presenting to a group.
• Good communication and social skills.
• Digitally proficient; online teaching material is used in the lessons.
• Time available to give guest lessons at least 10 times a year during school hours (on average 1 to 2 half-days per month).
• Willingness to travel to schools in the region.
