Ecology Team Leader

Within a growing organization where ecology, innovation, and job satisfaction go hand in hand, a connecting and coaching Ecology Team Leader is sought. You will join an enthusiastic team of approximately 15 ecologists and project leaders. The goal is to enable everyone to get the best out of themselves and each other. The organization is an independent ecological consultancy firm that is daily committed to a nature-inclusive living environment.

What you do

As an Ecology Team Leader, you are the connecting link between your team, HR, and management. You ensure a positive working atmosphere where colleagues feel heard, can grow, and collaborate optimally.

  • You maintain an overview of projects, monitor capacity, and support project leaders where necessary.
  • You guide development discussions, facilitate personal growth, and ensure that organizational changes are well-integrated within the team.
  • You are visible, approachable, and naturally connect people with diverse personalities.
  • You build trust, address individuals when needed, and ensure the team as a whole continues to develop.
  • In addition to your leadership role, you take the lead in the most complex and innovative projects.
  • You are responsible for tenders and the management of important framework contracts.
  • If you do not have a background in ecology, you will initially participate in projects to get to know the services and clients.

What they ask You are a coaching leader who gains energy from developing people. You communicate easily with diverse personalities, know how to create connections, and maintain an overview, even when the organization is in full motion.

  • HBO or WO (higher professional education or university) working and thinking level.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of leadership experience is a plus.
  • Organizational talent and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Financial and business insight.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Affinity with ecology and species protection is a plus.

  • Monthly knowledge-sharing sessions are organized on ecology, legislation, and innovations.
  • You collaborate with enthusiastic colleagues who are keen to help each other.
