HR Manager

AntwerpHybrid16 hours/week3-6months

You will support HR operations for approximately 40 employees in Belgium and the Netherlands within a specialized industrial software company. Thorough, practically applicable knowledge of Belgian and Dutch social and labor legislation is a must. You have experience independently handling personnel files in both countries. The Benelux activities have been taken over by an international group. You will be the local HR point of contact and will not have your own HR team.

You advise management, but also execute actions yourself. You will work directly with the local Managing Director and receive support from the HR manager of the international group.

What you will do.

  • Handover and priorities: you will take over outstanding personnel files and ongoing agreements and monitor follow-up.
  • Belgian and Dutch personnel files: you will assess HR issues according to the regulations of the country concerned, advise management, and ensure correct practical and administrative execution, including Dutch pension issues.
  • Employee questions and administration: you will handle questions about contracts, employment conditions, and absences, keep personnel files up-to-date, and ensure agreements are recorded and executed.
  • Management guidance: you will support the Managing Director in employee discussions and individual personnel matters, prepare discussions, and follow up on agreements made.
  • Recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding: you will support local recruitments and coordinate documents, registrations, and practical arrangements for entry and exit from service.
  • Payroll alignment: you will provide HR data and changes and follow up on questions and corrections with Finance and external payroll partners. You will not calculate salaries yourself.
  • Fleet management: you will practically follow up on company cars and maintain contacts with the relevant service providers.
  • Collaboration with the international group: you will align local HR issues with the international HR manager and support the connection to the group's HR and talent management systems.

What they ask

  • Thorough knowledge of Belgian and Dutch social and labor legislation, applied personally in an operational HR role.
  • Solid practical knowledge of the Dutch legal framework; you must be able to assess and follow up on Dutch personnel issues yourself.
  • Experience in a broad, operational HR role, where you managed employee questions, personnel files, and administration yourself.
  • You combine management advice with execution and ensure that actions are actually completed.
  • You work independently as a local HR point of contact and liaise purposefully with the international HR manager or external specialists when necessary.
  • You set clear priorities and indicate in good time when additional support is needed.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
  • You can work from the offices.

Practical

  • Collaboration: directly with the local Managing Director, the international HR manager, Finance, and external partners.
