Project Leader Tenders Fire Department

Contribute to making the fire department's equipment and materials future-proof within a regional safety organization. As a project leader for tenders, you will work closely with clients and various departments and experts within the organization. You will monitor both the substantive quality and the quality of the process throughout the entire trajectory, from project start to handover to the line organization.

This includes determining whether purchased materials meet agreed requirements and are successfully implemented, including the setup of use, management, and maintenance. You act as a connecting link to the fire department organization in the broadest sense, including all users. You ensure a careful transfer of results to the management organization, such as logistics or vehicle fleet. Collaboration with other safety regions is encouraged for knowledge sharing.

What you do

  • Mapping the wishes and experiences of users.
  • Exploring the market and identifying opportunities for new solutions.
  • Drafting tender documents, such as the Program of Requirements (PvE).
  • Guiding the entire tender process, from Program of Requirements to implementation.
  • Creating a project plan with involved parties and ensuring clear decision-making.
  • Monitoring planning, budget, quality, and administration, and reporting on these.
  • Stimulating collaboration between different parties and maintaining contacts.
  • Ensuring a smooth handover to the management organization.
  • Conducting a final evaluation and making concrete improvement proposals.
  • Advising clients on future projects and tenders.

Profile

  • Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
  • Relevant experience working within projects, preferably in the field of (European) tenders.
  • Affinity with technology, as projects focus on technical equipment.
  • Ability to gather needs from the workplace and translate them into concrete wishes and requirements within the framework and vision.
  • Eye for the bigger picture and the ability to represent these interests.
  • Capable of working independently but also effectively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Well-developed policy insight.

Practical

You will be part of a team of 16 people within the Operational Preparation department. There are opportunities to fulfill a role in the operational organization as a secondary task, after thorough training and education.
