As Coordinator Cleaning, Laundry & Technical Service, you are responsible for the maintenance of the buildings of two campuses of a care organization. Together with a team of approximately 15 colleagues, you will be responsible for cleaning and technical maintenance, as well as washing and ironing linen and clothing. You report directly to the management.
What you will do.
- Coordinate and organize all activities of the cleaning, laundry, and technical service department.
- Prepare work schedules, task distributions, and checklists.
- Align staffing with daily needs.
- Monitor work materials and products.
- Actively contribute to optimizing work processes and internal procedures, in consultation with the quality coordinator.
- Lead and coach your team with a view to good work organization and collaboration.
- Manage, motivate, and guide employees.
- Make clear work agreements and clear instructions.
- Monitor the quality of the work.
- Supervise the correct use of materials and compliance with safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct performance and evaluation interviews and support employees in their growth and development.
- Handle numerous administrative tasks for your department.
- Prepare timetables, attendance, and holiday planning.
- Manage stock, orders, and deliveries.
- Prepare purchases and follow up on offers.
- Act as a central point of contact for employees, management, and external partners.
- Report and consult with management.
- Proactively identify needs, shortcomings, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and external services.
- Stimulate smooth cooperation between different teams and departments.
- Participate in training and further education.
- Integrate new knowledge and information into daily operations.
- Consult with other managers to continuously optimize operations.
Profile
- You get energy from order, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work and thinking level thanks to relevant work experience.
- You have at least 3 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and hygiene regulations is a big plus.
- Experience in the care sector is an added value, but not a requirement.
- You are a born leader and coach who is empathetic but also dares to make decisions.
- You communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with employees, residents, and colleagues.
- You are strong organizationally and derive satisfaction from planning, coordinating, and optimizing.
- You think analytically, work solution-oriented, and have an eye for efficiency and quality.
- You take responsibility and show initiative when necessary.
- You have excellent command of Dutch, both orally and in writing.
- You have a heart for the elderly and enjoy contributing to a warm and pleasant living environment.
- You are flexible to travel between our two campuses and have your own means of transport.
