A public broadcasting organization reaches millions of users daily via its online platforms and apps. The Digital Media department works on the websites and apps, with the backend entirely managed in-house.
What you do
- Responsible for the setup, management, and security of Cloud services.
- Responsible for monitoring and assisting colleagues with the use of the hosting platform (based on Kubernetes).
- Work closely with the team to maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (using tools like GitHub Actions and Argo CD).
- Support developers from other teams in preparing their developed software for release.
- Coordinate with the broadcasting organization's hosting partner to ensure the continuity of the platform.
- Focus on performance, caching, and integration with external applications.
- Contribute ideas for new features of the products.
Profile
- Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with containers and deploying applications to a Kubernetes cluster.
- Experience with Cloud Providers and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Knowledge of GitOps and CI/CD Tooling.
- Strong focus on Operations and co-responsible for the DevOps approach ("you build it, you run it").
- Quick to grasp new things and works in a solution-oriented manner.
- Willingness to be on-call with the team outside working hours.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch and current residency in the Netherlands are required.
