QA engineer Test automation specialist
You will join a large news organization in the Netherlands. The Production Development department manages and contributes to the development of the complete IT infrastructure, from the broadcast environment for radio, television, teletext, and internet to office automation. The team is responsible 24/7 for all IT systems used daily for broadcasts and publications.
What you will do. An experienced QA Engineer is sought for an ongoing frontend migration within an editorial system. The focus is on ensuring continuity by mapping current (legacy) functionalities, documenting them, and providing them with a solid test suite. This will guarantee a technically flawless transition to the new frontend.
- Real-time testing: testing real-time multi-user scenarios, such as collaborative editing and locking mechanisms.
- Test automation: expanding integration and E2E tests (Playwright) according to the Page Object Pattern.
- Visual regression: implementing tools like Chromatic or LostPixel to monitor UI consistency.
- Exploratory testing: analyzing the current codebase to understand and document functional flows.
- CI/CD: integrating test frameworks into existing pipelines.
Profile
You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in test automation. You are used to working independently and enjoy collaborating on solutions and their implementation. You are friendly, customer-oriented, collegial, and able to work well in a team, even under time pressure.
